Start with why the buyer should read it
Industrial sales decks often open with a company name, slogan, factory photo and contact details. The slide may look complete, but the buyer may still not know whether the material is relevant to their current decision.
A stronger opening answers one practical question: what will this deck help the buyer judge? It may be product suitability for a working condition, an equipment solution, material parameters, cost structure, delivery capability or service scope. The faster the purpose is clear, the easier the rest of the deck is to follow.
Turn the title into a business question
The opening title does not need to be vague or oversized. For manufacturing and industrial products, a title should reflect the buyer context instead of simply saying company profile, product solution or win-win cooperation.
Examples include a testing equipment solution for a packaging line, a product selection document for overseas distributors, or an application guide for industrial pumps. The buyer should understand the scope before moving to page two.
- State the product, scenario or buyer problem.
- Use the subtitle to clarify audience, boundary or document purpose.
- Do not overload the first slide with every keyword.
- Avoid ranking, leadership or outcome claims that cannot be verified.
Keep only three types of information
The first slide has limited space. It should not contain the company story, product parameters, cases, certificates, process, pricing and contact details all at once.
A practical opening keeps only three types of information: buyer problem, core value and what comes next. This gives the slide direction without making it crowded.
- Buyer problem: what the buyer is comparing, selecting or confirming.
- Core value: what support the company provides through product, solution, delivery or service.
- Content preview: what the deck will show next, such as parameters, process, scenarios, pricing boundaries or contact path.
Visual design should support understanding
An industrial PPT opening slide does not become better just because it looks more dramatic. Buyers need to understand product relationships, application context and communication focus quickly.
Useful visual choices include product structure diagrams, process diagrams, equipment close-ups, application scenes and clean data modules. Important copy should remain readable, not trapped inside a decorative image.
Pricing and scope can be signaled early
When a PPT is used for sales communication, the opening area or agenda can preview what the document covers. This reduces misunderstandings before the pricing page.
For example, corporate PPT design can be referenced from RMB 200 per page, brochure or one-page leaflet design from RMB 300 per page, and printing or sample-book production should be quoted by scope. The final price still depends on page count, copy, design complexity, source materials and delivery format.
Review the first slide before sending
After the opening slide is drafted, use one simple test: if the buyer sees only the first slide, can they explain what the deck is about, who it is for, why it matters and what the next slide should show?
Hulian Leading Technology reviews PPT openings, agendas, core slides, pricing pages and contact paths together so that sales materials, websites, videos and landing pages use a consistent business expression.
- Is there only one clear main title?
- Can the topic be understood within ten seconds?
- Does the page avoid empty slogans and isolated buzzwords?
- Does it connect naturally to the website service page, case page or contact page?
